Emergency Water Valve Operator

The City of Syracuse is seeking a skilled Valve Operator to manage municipal water distribution by locating, accessing, and operating valves and related equipment. He/She works under supervision and handles emergency situations with independent judgment and careful prioritization of repairs. Responsibilities include locating valves, exposing valve boxes, operating hydrants, and recording logs. Eligibility requires relevant experience and a valid NY non-CDL/CDL with appropriate endorsements.
