Duties include conducting eye examinations, identifying signs of disease or injury and prescribing corrective eye glass lenses and/or contacts.
Minimum requirements:
- Doctorate in optometry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
- Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and licensed by the state in which they are practicing
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicableTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
