Location: NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, New York, NY. The department averages about 160 cases per week and is supported by an active OB team that performed 1,580 deliveries last year. The hospital has 8 main operating rooms, 2 cystoscopy rooms, 2 labor and delivery ORs, 2 endoscopy suites, and 1 interventional radiology room. Responsibilities: On-call responsibilities are well supported by three attendings in-house for nights and weekends. Two attendings manage main OR cases; a third is dedicated to labor and delivery. Minimum of four calls per month required. Weekday calls: 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. (16 hours). Weekend calls: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (24 hours). CRNAs and residents work in a 1:2 supervision ratio. Approximately 40% of cases are performed solo and 60% under supervision. Anesthesiology residents from New York Medical College rotate through the facility; five residents graduate per year. Residents also take in-house call. Oral and maxillofacial surgery rotators work during the day, contributing to the educational environment.
