Moreover, an employee in this position performs clerical duties relating to the department, receives and stores incoming supplies. The Pharmacy Technician Per Diem also verifies stock and enters data into the computer to maintain accurate and complete inventory records. Core Job Functions: Handles inventory to ensure that the pharmacy is appropriately stocked. Weighs, counts, measures, and mixes medication. Receives written prescription, fills prescriptions or refill requests, and verifies that information is complete and accurate. Answers telephones and responds to questions or requests. Fills bottles with prescribed medications, and types and affixes labels. Assists customers by answering simple questions, locating items, and referring them to the appropriate staff. Establishes and maintains patient profiles and records. Transfers medication from vials to the appropriate number of sterile and disposable syringes using aseptic techniques. Supplies and monitors robotic machines that dispense medicine into containers. Prepares and processes medical insurance claim forms and handles insurance claim records. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Core Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. State of FL certification/registration in relevant field. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University's core values.
