TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT

Job Description: Responsible for the inventory control of items maintained in the tool crib. Maintains the tool room in a neat and orderly manner. Assist operators and co-workers with tooling needs and provide information to new employees regarding tooling and supplies. Issue tool and supplies to the production personnel; returns tooling to assigned tool crib location. Purchase and stock tooling and supplies. Re-stocks the tooling dispensing machines daily or as needed. Need to properly care for the tools in the crib and ensure they are ready for use when needed. Pre-Set tooling and special gauge in an accurate and efficient manner. Position the required set-up tooling for Turning/Milling operations at the machine so that the next job would be ready to run immediately. Practice good housekeeping in assigned areas and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies. Promptly report any operational problems or safety issues with machine, tools, or equipment to supervisory personnel. Conduct inventory count of workstations. Conduct inventory cycle counts of tool crib inventories, as scheduled. Correct any inventory deficiencies or discrepancies. Checks boxes and verify packing slips. Additional functions as delegated by supervisory personnel. All other duties as assigned.
