Key responsibilities:
Underwrite complex transactions to ensure compliance with established guidelines for various loan programs
Perform detailed analysis of borrower credit, income, assets, and collateral to assess overall risk and loan eligibility
Issue clear loan decisions and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Required qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Mortgage Lending, including at least 2 years as a NQM Underwriter
Experience with Encompass is required
Recent manual underwriting experience in the mortgage industry
Proficient in self-employment income calculations and guidelines
FHA Chums and/or VA Lapp SAR certification recommended but not required
