Job Description: Join Our Team in Packing & Shipping Operations at Bear Light Studios! Are you looking for a hands-on role with a growing company that values quality, innovation, safety, and teamwork? Bear Light Studios, a family-owned manufacturing company based in Clermont, Florida, is looking for a dependable individual to join our Packing & Shipping Operations team. If you take pride in your work, pay attention to the details, use good judgment, and are the kind of person who naturally looks for ways to help, we’d love to hear from you. About Bear Light Studios Founded in 2020, Bear Light Studios designs and produces architectural-grade aluminum mounting systems for permanent outdoor lighting. Our products ship throughout the U.S. and internationally, and we’re proud to maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a small business, we’re hands-on, work closely as a team, and are committed to mentoring the next generation of skilled workers and leaders.
What You’ll Do: As part of our Packing & Shipping Operations team, you’ll play an important role in making sure every order leaving Bear Light is accurate, complete, and prepared with care.
Your responsibilities will include: Packing and preparing customer orders for shipment. Verifying products, quantities, colors, and order details for accuracy. Maintaining our quality standards throughout the packing and shipping process. Working with teammates to keep orders moving efficiently. Keeping packing and shipping areas clean, organized, and properly stocked. Recognizing and speaking up when something doesn’t look right. Looking for opportunities to help the team, even when a task hasn’t specifically been assigned to you. Safely handling materials and lifting up to 60 lbs as needed. Following established safety procedures and looking out for both yourself and the people working around you.
What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who becomes the person the team can count on — someone who asks great questions, thinks ahead, notices what others might miss, and doesn’t need someone standing over them to do the right thing. Someone who is eager to learn, takes safety seriously, looks out for the whole team, and naturally looks for opportunities to jump in and help. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who earns trust through consistency, good judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine can-do attitude. We’re seeking candidates with: At least 1 year of relevant work experience. Dependability and a strong work ethic. Exceptional attention to detail. Good judgment and the confidence to speak up when something doesn’t look right. A naturally proactive mindset — someone who looks for ways to help, even when the task isn’t specifically assigned to them. A team-first attitude and a genuine desire to help the people around them succeed. Curiosity and a willingness to ask great questions and learn how and why things work. The ability to work independently, stay productive, and recognize what needs to be done without constant direction. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety. The ability to lift up to 60 lbs safely and effectively. Strong respect for workplace safety — both for yourself and the team. Current CPR or OSHA certification preferred; relevant safety certifications may be considered when determining starting pay. Your First 90 Days New team members complete a 90-day introductory and training period focused on learning our processes, safety standards, quality expectations, and day-to-day operations. During this time, we’ll provide training and feedback while looking at areas such as: Attendance and dependability Safety Accuracy and attention to detail Productivity Communication and teamwork Initiative and problem-solving Judgment and ability to work independently Our goal is for you to understand what success looks like, get comfortable with the operation, and have the opportunity to demonstrate what you can bring to the team.
Perks & Benefits: At Bear Light Studios, we want people to have the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow. We offer: Starting wage of $16–$18/hour, based on experience. Career & life-skills mentorship to help you grow personally and professionally. Flexible scheduling. Free drinks and break snacks. Shift bonus opportunities for exceptional performance. Opportunity for advancement into a Packing & Shipping Lead role. Opportunity to Grow This is not initially a lead position, but there is a real opportunity to grow into one. We believe leadership is something you demonstrate before a title is attached to it. Someone who consistently shows strong judgment, initiative, reliability, safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to help the people around them succeed will have opportunities to take on greater responsibility as our company grows. Why Join Bear Light Studios? We’re a small company where individual contributions genuinely matter. We work hard, move quickly, laugh a lot, and expect everyone to take pride in what they do. We want people who care about doing things correctly, care about the teammates working beside them, and aren’t afraid to bring ideas to the table. Around here, making the world shine a little brighter really does depend on every person on the team. If you want a job where you can learn, contribute, take ownership, and have the opportunity to grow with the company, Bear Light may be a great fit. Ready to Apply?
