Investment Banking and Securities IntermediationPortfolio Management and Investment AdviceCommodity Contracts IntermediationWe are seeking an experienced Equity Middle Office Specialist to support the transition of equity trade processing activities from the Paris office to New York. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience within an Equity Middle Office or Trade Validation environment, with deep knowledge of equity derivatives and structured equity products. Strong equity product knowledge is the most important requirement for this position. Experience with Sophis is a plus but is not required. The team currently processes approximately 10–15 trades per day manually, with each trade requiring approximately 15–20 minutes to process. In addition to supporting the existing process, this individual will contribute to the team's longer-term efforts to automate and improve the trade processing workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end trade validation and control for equity derivatives and structured equity payoff products, ensuring accurate and complete bookings within internal systems.
Verify trade economics against term sheets, confirmations, trader recaps, and booking models.
Review and validate complex product attributes including payoffs, barriers, autocalls, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupons, and underlying baskets or indices.
Support the transition of Equity Middle Office activities from the Paris office to the New York office.
Investigate and resolve trade capture issues, booking discrepancies, and exceptions in a timely manner.
Partner closely with Trading, Sales, Structuring, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to resolve trade-related issues.
Monitor trade lifecycle events including amendments, cancellations, novations, resets, corporate actions, fixing events, and maturities.
Perform daily controls and reconciliations to identify missing, unmatched, or incorrectly booked trades.
Support process improvement and automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual trade processing.
Independently investigate operational issues and drive them through resolution.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience within an Equity Middle Office, Trade Support, or Trade Validation environment.
Strong knowledge of equity derivatives and structured equity payoff products.
Solid understanding of listed and OTC equity products, including options, swaps, variance products, autocallables, structured notes, and bespoke equity-linked products.
Strong understanding of product economics, payoff structures, and trade characteristics.
Experience reviewing and interpreting term sheets, confirmations, pricing models, trader recaps, and transaction documentation.
Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle and front-to-back operational processes.
Experience investigating trade booking discrepancies, breaks, and exceptions.
Understanding of how trade capture quality impacts valuations, risk, settlements, and downstream processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Sophis is preferred but not required.
Experience supporting trade processing automation or operational improvement initiatives is a plus.
Previous experience within a global investment bank or capital markets environment is preferred.
