Senior Electrical Engineer

Project Planning & Management Responsibilities: • Develop new project scoping, man-hours estimation, budgeting, and design criteria • Manage select projects and support other PMs when necessary • Coordinate with other departments for multi-discipline projects. • Supervision of supporting engineers and technicians for the preparation of contract documents • Compile milestone deliverables (calculations, drawings, specs, etc) consistent with client standards • Organize both physical and digital project documentation • Attend site visits and client meetings • Conducting business development activities as neededEngineering Responsibilities: • Perform detailed electrical design of lighting, power distribution, alarms, and communications, voltage drop calculations, generator and transformer sizing, substation and ground grid design and analysis. • Experience with SKM Power Tools • Review drawings prepared by others in AutoCAD, REVIT, or Microstation format • Participating in QA/QC process of completed work by staffMinimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred • Illinois licensed PE • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the electrical design in a variety of building types: office, commercial, education and industrial. • Experience with CADD solutions including Microstation, AutoCad, and Revit • Solid knowledge of electrical trade practices, standards, and building codes • Strong communication, teamwork & leadership skills. • Experience using SKM for Arc Flash studies is a plusThis role is Chicago based.
