Description: American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and a Respiratory Care Practitioner License for a night shift hospital sleep lab position. Details Hospital-based sleep lab setting caring for both pediatric and adult patients Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift schedule, 3x 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMEpic EMR experience required Potential to float between sister facilities as needed
Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience required, including pediatric and adult populations Must have Respiratory Care Practitioner License (license required if applicable)BLS requiredRPSGT, RRT with SDS, RRT, or SDS certification required Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Community hospital experience preferred Skilled in monitoring end-tidal CO2, cardiac abnormalities, ECG, EEG, O2 saturation, PLM, PSG, and RIPExperience with study types including MSLT (adult and pediatric), baseline PSG, home sleep testing, and seizure studies Proficient in staging and scoring including arousal, Cheyne-Stokes, complex sleep apnea, hypopnea, periodic breathing, and respiratory events Experience with titration therapies including ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, and oxygen administration Skilled in mask fitting including full face, nasal mask, and nasal pillow Experience with Alice and Res Med equipment preferred Knowledge of infection control and patient education practices
Additional Information: Perform overnight polysomnography studies including monitoring, scoring, and titration of therapy for pediatric and adult patients Conduct mask fitting and patient education as part of care delivery Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be granted Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not apply within 50 miles of their prior facility Accepted at a lower bill rate for candidates within a 50-mile local radius Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
