A mission-driven healthcare organization in New York City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership to its nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with leadership experience who enjoys staff development, medication management, clinical quality, and creating consistent standards of care. Compensation & Schedule$95,000–$110,000 annual salary Full-time, permanent position Primarily Monday–Friday Daytime schedule Occasional weekend availability may be needed New York City Some local travel between programs required
What You'll Do:
As the Registered Nurse Manager, you'll oversee nursing operations while providing leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to nursing staff Mentor and support RNs, LPNs, and other clinical team members Help maintain consistent nursing standards across programs Oversee medication-management and medication-safety practices Monitor appropriate medication administration, storage, documentation, and inventory processes Provide clinical guidance and support when patient-care concerns arise Partner with medical providers and clinical leadership on patient-care needs Review nursing documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance Conduct routine reviews of clinical and nursing practices Identify opportunities to improve patient safety and clinical workflows Support quality-improvement and risk-reduction initiatives Assist with regulatory and compliance readiness Help develop and implement clinical policies and procedures Educate nursing staff on clinical protocols, documentation, medication safety, and best practices Support the onboarding and training of new clinical staff Participate in interdisciplinary clinical discussions Address clinical concerns and escalate significant patient-safety issues when appropriate Help create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality patient care
What We're Looking For:
Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Several years of professional nursing experience Previous experience in a Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or similar nursing leadership role Experience supervising and developing nursing staff Strong understanding of medication management and medication safety Experience with clinical documentation, quality standards, and healthcare compliance Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to coach, mentor, and support clinical staff Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable working collaboratively with medical, behavioral health, and operational teams Ability to travel locally between assigned NYC programs
Preferred Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following settings is helpful: Behavioral health Mental health Substance-use treatment Community healthcare Residential healthcare Outpatient healthcare Other complex patient-care environments Why Consider This Opportunity?
