Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate

Overview: The primary focus of the role is employment litigation, with a preference for candidates having prior employment litigation experience and a strong interest in representing employers in complex workplace disputes. The associate will represent and defend employers, from emerging companies to Fortune 500 organizations, in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour class and collective action claims, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and other workplace-related issues. Core responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses; conducting fact investigations, witness interviews, document review, and deposition preparation; and assisting with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The role also involves supporting clients in responding to administrative charges and agency proceedings (including matters before the EEOC and state/local agencies) and providing employment law compliance advice as opportunities arise. Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment Practice provides an array of workplace strategies and legal counsel, including consulting, technical assistance, and litigation services to clients of varying sizes across diverse industries nationwide. A differentiating requirement is demonstrated fluency with AI tools to support legal practice.
