Psychiatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure At least 1 year of professional nursing experience Experience or strong interest in psychiatric nursing, behavioral health nursing, or substance use nursing Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to adolescent and adult patients Strong patient assessment, communication, clinical documentation, and de-escalation skills Ability to work evening/night shifts and every other weekend Psychiatric RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorders Complete patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate clinical findings to the interdisciplinary care team Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols Support crisis prevention, therapeutic communication, and appropriate behavioral health de-escalation interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment and nursing care plans Provide patient and family education related to treatment, safety, recovery, and discharge planning Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while promoting a safe, respectful therapeutic environment Apply now for this psychiatric travel nurse opportunity in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and join a team dedicated to compassionate behavioral health care.
