The Customer Service Operator will respond to customer requests and inquiries, make recommendations about bank products and services. To succeed as a Customer Service Operator, you should have a professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude. You should be courteous, efficient, helpful, and accurate.
Customer Service Operator Responsibilities:
- Directing inbound calls to appropriate party
- Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as payments and transfers, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
- Informing customers about bank products and services.
- Processing returned mail for customer contact
- Keeping a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
- Handling transactions and confidential information in a responsible manner.
- Following all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned
Customer Service Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Professional appearance and courteous manner.
- Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Position operates in a professional office environment
- Routine use of standard office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, photocopiers, calculators, and filing cabinets
- Must be able to remain sedentary 75% of the time
- Employee will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
