About the position:
Eve International Logistics is seeking an Onsite Operations Supervisor to support transportation operations at a USPS facility in Sandston, Virginia (approximately 10 miles outside of Richmond). This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily freight movement, coordinating carriers and drivers, supporting USPS operations, and ensuring service, safety, and operational performance standards are met. We are seeking candidates with a CDL to support trailer movements within the yard / loading areas.
What you will do:
The Onsite Operations Supervisor serves as the primary onsite leader for transportation and logistics operations at the Richmond, VA, USPS facility. Working closely with drivers, carriers, subcontractors, and USPS personnel, this individual will help ensure freight moves according to schedule and operational issues are resolved quickly, and day-to-day activities run efficiently. This role is well suited for candidates with experience in transportation, terminal, fleet, dispatch, logistics, or operations leadership environments who enjoy being hands-on and actively involved in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily transportation and logistics operations at the Sandston, VA USPS facility. Monitor truck movements, trailer activity, and shipment schedules throughout the shift. Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and subcontractors regarding arrivals, departures, scheduling, and operational issues. Serve as a primary point of contact for USPS personnel and support day-to-day operational communication. Assist with trailer moves between facilities and yards as needed. Review schedules, shipment information, and operational reports to ensure freight moves according to plan. Troubleshoot transportation delays, service interruptions, and operational challenges. Support a 24/7 operation and provide leadership coverage as needed. Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company and customer safety standards. Travel to various USPS locations as requested by management. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule / Hours Night-shift: 10:00 PM–7:00 AM OR 11:00 PM–8:00 AMFlexibility may be required based on operational needs

What You Need:
CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is required. High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet, terminal, warehouse, or supply chain operations. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Experience coordinating drivers, shipments, loads, routes, or transportation activity. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to resolve operational issues in a fast-paced environment. Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track loads, shipments, routes, schedules, and transportation activity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Trailer yard management experience is preferred.
