Qualifications
Requirements:
(Required) Prior veterinary assisting experience is required Weekend availability is required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining compassion and grace Strong teamwork and communication skills Commitment to providing empathetic, respectful patient and client care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout their visit
- Safely restrain patients using calm, low-stress handling techniques
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Support hospitalized and surgical patients as directed
- Communicate with clients in a clear, kind, and empathetic manner
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks and patient care duties
- Maintain accurate records and follow hospital protocols
- Uphold safety, cleanliness, and ethical standards within the hospital
