Associate Attorney

A nationally recognized litigation and insurance defense firm in Central Phoenix is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1+ years of legal experience, with a preference for candidates with backgrounds in complex civil litigation, insurance defense, construction, and/or personal injury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative litigation practice that offers strong mentorship, hands-on training, and meaningful responsibility on active cases. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. This is a hybrid position based out of the firm's Phoenix office.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties Propound and respond to written discovery Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents Prepare for, take, and defend depositions Prepare for and attend court hearings and proceedings Prepare for and participate in mediations Provide responsive, high-quality service to clients Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff throughout the litigation processQUALIFICATIONSActive and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar 1+ year of civil litigation experience preferred Insurance defense experience strongly preferred Experience in complex civil litigation, construction, personal injury, or related litigation preferred Deposition, motion, and court hearing experience required Strong legal research and writing skills Excellent communication and time-management skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters and deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Medical, dental, and vision insurance Basic and supplemental life insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage 401(k) plan Paid time off10–11 paid holidays Competitive salary Discretionary year-end bonus
