Overhead Crane Operator

Key Responsibilities: Operate overhead bridge cranes, pendant-controlled cranes, and hoists to lift, move, position, and place materials. Inspect cranes, slings, hooks, chains, and rigging equipment before each use; report any defects or hazards. Follow load charts, weight limits, and proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting operations. Communicate clearly with spotters, ground personnel, and supervisors using hand signals or radios. Move raw materials, finished goods, and large components to designated areas to support production flow. Maintain accurate records of material movements when required. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Adhere to OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures at all times. Assist with general labor, material handling, or warehouse tasks as needed.
