Tool Maker (1st Shift)

PLEASE NOTE: this client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of Active Duty U.S. military experience – HEAVY MAINTENANCE BACKGROUND REQUIRED *Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Tool Maker (1st Shift) based out of their Elgin IL (40 miles NW of Chicago) facility. They are a global manufacturer of metal die cast precision components, offering plenty of room for career growth.

Compensation: $27.00/hour + (DOE)

What You Will Do: Will repair existing dies and develop, cut, shape or form metal work pieces to specifications. Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards. Works on all conventional machine tools. Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings. Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools. Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects. Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean. Additional projects may be assigned by the Engineering Manager. Education and Work Experience At least 4 years US Military Active Duty experience required 5+ years tool making experience required (must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.)Title: Tool Maker (1st Shift)
