Medical-Surgical Travel Registered Nurse

In this role, you'll deliver high-quality medical-surgical care to adult patients, performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications, monitoring conditions, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. You'll document in the EHR, educate patients and families, and follow hospital protocols to ensure safety and excellent outcomes. Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients on a hospital unit Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans Document care, assessments, and interventions in the EHR accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols Participate in shift handoffs, reporting, and interdisciplinary rounds Adapt quickly to new hospital environments and workflows as a travel nurse Acute care medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment and monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Care planning and care coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) xevrcyc documentation Wound care and post-operative care Telemetry interpretation (if required by unit) Infection prevention and control Discharge planning and patient education Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred Compact state RN license preferred Med Surg certification (CMSRN) a plus Previous travel nursing experience preferred
