Oncology Clinical Registered Nurse

Mission Health seeks an Oncology Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support comprehensive cancer care in our patient-centered environment. This RN role coordinates oncology treatments, performs thorough assessments, manages symptoms, and ensures safe chemotherapy delivery in collaboration with oncologists and the care team. The coordinator educates patients and families, supports treatment planning, and maintains accurate clinical documentation. Coordinate and oversee oncology patient care across the treatment continuum Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment response Support safe administration and monitoring of chemotherapy and related therapies Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members Manage care transitions, appointments, and follow-up needs Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use EHR systems effectively Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Advocate for patient-centered, evidence-based oncology care Mentor and support nursing staff within the oncology service line Oncology nursing Chemotherapy administration Patient assessment Care coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) Symptom management Patient and family education Treatment planning support Interdisciplinary collaboration Clinical documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within hire timeline Experience in oncology or acute care setting preferred
