This is an ideal role for an ambitious engineer who is ready to take on a new challenge and elevate their impact beyond individual project execution. You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and serve as a key point of contact as the group continues to grow in DFW. Success in this role positions you for long-term leadership and expanded responsibility as the regional footprint scales.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support substation engineering efforts across a variety of utility and infrastructure projects Provide technical oversight and quality control for substation design deliverables Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, helping develop technical and professional skills Collaborate with project managers and leadership to support workload planning and execution Help establish and refine engineering workflows, standards, and best practices Serve as a trusted technical and leadership presence within the DFW region Qualifications 8+ years of overall engineering experience in power delivery or related fields 5+ years of hands‑on substation design experience Strong technical foundation across substation physical design and related engineering disciplines Prior experience mentoring engineers or acting in a technical lead/ informal supervisory capacity Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a growing environment Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership mindsetPE highly preferred
