Urology Medical Assistant

UCHealth seeks a Urology Medical Assistant to support urology providers in a fast-paced, patient-first clinic environment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, preparing and assisting with urologic procedures, managing specimens, and documenting in the EHR. The role also includes cleaning and stocking rooms, maintaining equipment, and reinforcing patient education. Assist urologists with exams, procedures, and minor in-office interventions Prepare patients, obtain vitals, and document histories in the EHR Set up, clean, and maintain urology equipment and procedure rooms Perform basic diagnostic tests and specimen collection per protocol Administer injections and medications as directed by providers Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and patient follow-up Maintain infection control, safety, and privacy standards Support patient education on pre- and post-procedure instructions Patient vital signs measurement Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Urology procedure assistance Specimen collection and handling Sterile technique and infection control Medical terminology Clinic workflow and scheduling Basic medication administration Medical equipment cleaning and maintenance Patient education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Urology-specific training or experience preferred
