As a professional in our business valuation practice you will have an opportunity to gain valuable experience working with leading valuation specialists to help our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges. Work you'll doAs a Senior Consultant on the Complex Securities team, you will be responsible for: Supporting Deloitte audit teams and non-audit clients with valuation analyses for complex equity and debt securities in connection with regulatory, financial reporting, and tax mattersBuilding and reviewing financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry and company research, and preparing written reports and supporting analysesCommunicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding project scope, valuation approach, key assumptions, and deliverablesSupervising junior staff and Consultants, reviewing work products, and providing guidance to support quality and consistencySupporting other Deloitte Valuation & Modeling engagements, as needed, based on client and business priorities A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to provide clear guidance to others The teamOur Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics 4+ years of business valuation and intangible asset valuation consulting experience 4+ Years of experience specifically working in complex securities valuation financial modeling, managing client relationships, creating, and delivering client service work that exceeds client expectations, communicating (both written and oral) and presenting complex technical issues to non-technical internal and external clientsEmployment of various complex securities valuation methodologies such as Black Scholes, Lattice and Monte Carlo simulation modelingLeadership role in project management and executing valuation engagementsExecuting multiple simultaneous complex securities valuation engagementsAbility to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred: Master's degree in Quantitative Finance or Financial EngineeringCFAExperience in VBA, @Risk and other financial modelling toolsThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $207,800. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
