Arc Welder 3rd Class / 1st Shift - Masis Staffing

Key Responsibilities: Operate overhead crane systems to handle steel beams, plates, and assemblies. Use chains, grabs, and other rigging equipment to secure steel for lifting. Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld requirements, including correct weld and thickness. Operate welding machines, needle guns, and related equipment to perform welding tasks. Perform cleaning of welds using a needle gun to remove slag. Load and maintain weld wire spools as required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and handle materials weighing 10–50 lbs using grabs and chains. Adequate strength, mobility, dexterity, vision, hearing, and stamina to perform duties effectively. Ability to wear a respirator when necessary.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Welding certification is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions without constant supervision. Must pass company-specific welding tests.
