Software Engineer, Backend (Rust) – Crypto Trading

Location: New York City or San Francisco On-site, 5 days/week Comp: $185K–$300K + Equity Our client is a well-funded, early-stage crypto trading company building high-performance infrastructure for the next generation of digital asset markets. They’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer with strong production Rust experience who enjoys solving difficult systems problems and wants significant technical ownership. What you’ll work on: Build high-performance risk, liquidation and trading systems Develop real-time, low-latency backend infrastructure processing live market data Build REST and Web Socket APIs with millisecond-level response times Work with Rust, Tokio, asynchronous programming, distributed systems and blockchain Solve complex problems around concurrency, state management and high-throughput event streams
