Non-Invasive Cardiologist Opportunity Virginia Locums Coverage Full-Time Schedule Advanced Heart Failure Focus A leading healthcare system in Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for an immediate locums opportunity. This position is available ASAP and will continue until a permanent physician is onboarded. The role offers a balanced mix of inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and call responsibilities within a collaborative cardiology program.
Position Highlights: Start: ASAPOngoing need until permanent hire is secured Full-time schedule preferred: Monday Friday plus call
Practice setting includes:
  • Inpatient rounding
  • Outpatient clinic
  • Call coverage
  • Non-invasive cardiology services
  • Clinical Details:
  • Average clinic volume: 10 patients per day
  • Average inpatient census/admissions: per day
  • Call ratio: 1:6Adult and geriatric patient populationEMR: EpicTeam Environment:
  • Collaborative group setting with physician leadership support
  • Opportunity to work alongside advanced practice clinicians
  • Additional physician coverage present during assignment periods
Required Skills / Experience:
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation and management
  • Advanced Heart Failure experienceLVAD / Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) certification required
  • Strong inpatient and outpatient cardiology management skills
Requirements:
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active Virginia license or IMLC Letter of Qualification at submissionDEA licenseACLS certification
  • Advanced Heart Failure fellowship with LVAD experience
  • Current NPDB self-query dated within 30 days
  • Clean background required for temporary privileges consideration
