AWS Data Engineer – (Python, Kafka, Kinesis, AI-Enabled Development) – W2 Contract – Hybrid in Uptown Charlotte Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and support scalable real-time data solutions within a cloud-based environment. This role will focus heavily on data streaming and event-driven architectures, leveraging technologies such as AWS, Kafka, Kinesis, and Python to build reliable, high-performance data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on data engineering experience and understand how to design solutions capable of processing and moving data efficiently across distributed systems. In addition to strong traditional engineering skills, this team is placing increased emphasis on AI-enabled software development. The right professional will be comfortable leveraging tools such as Git Hub Copilot, LLMs, AI agents, and prompt engineering techniques to accelerate development, improve productivity, troubleshoot issues, and streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
