Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to support the modernization and implementation of a Salesforce-based Human Resources Information System (HRIS) platform. This initiative will transform a suite of legacy applications within the Department of War (DoW) Enterprise Human Resources Information Systems (EHRIS) application portfolio into a modern Salesforce solution. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical lead for at least one Scrum team and will collaborate closely with the Program Manager, EHRIS Architect, developers, administrators, and business stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Salesforce technical design, configuration, customization, and implementation activities for enterprise HR solutions. Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce platform capabilities. Configure and automate business processes using Salesforce tools, including:
  • Salesforce Flow
  • Process Builder
  • WorkflowsValidation Rules
  • Formula Fields
  • Assignment RulesEmail AlertsDesign and develop integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise applications using:
  • REST APIsSOAP APIsOAuthSingle Sign-On (SSO)JSON-based integrations
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions. Analyze user stories and business requirements, identify technical gaps, and recommend effective Salesforce solutions. Establish and enforce Salesforce coding standards and development best practices. Perform code reviews and develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions. Create and execute unit and integration test cases while maintaining required Salesforce code coverage standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues. Support Salesforce deployment processes using established DevOps practices and source control methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Salesforce configuration and development experience.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting multiple Salesforce implementation projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and custom development.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Salesforce development technologies, including:
  • Apex Programming Language
  • Apex Triggers
  • Lightning Components
  • Visualforce Pages
  • ControllersJavaScriptSOQL and SOSLsObjectsSalesforce APIsChatter APIsOutbound Messaging
  • Experience developing robust Salesforce test classes and maintaining required code coverage.
  • Experience using Salesforce development tools, including:
  • Salesforce CLIData LoaderVisual Studio Code with Salesforce Extension Pack
  • Experience implementing source control practices within Salesforce development environments.
  • Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements and developing/testing compliant user interfaces.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Salesforce Advanced Developer Certification or Platform Developer I/II Certification.
  • Experience with Salesforce Einstein capabilities.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce security models and best practices.
