Job Title: Locum Neurosurgeon
Join a dynamic healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan, where the need for a skilled Neurosurgeon is paramount. This hospital-based role requires you to cover 24-hour call, including rounding and admissions. You will be part of a collaborative environment that boasts on-site imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and OR. With a focus on both spinal and cranial surgeries, this position offers the opportunity to work alongside one Neurosurgeon, one Ortho-spinal surgeon, and dedicated Neurosurgery APPs.
Job Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour call coverage, including rounding and admissions for neurosurgery patients. Perform both spinal and cranial surgeries as required. Conduct inpatient rounding on a daily basis, managing 5-10 cases per day. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care. Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and record management. Respond to emergent call and surgeries as the need arises.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Neurosurgery (no Board Eligible candidates please).ACLS certification required. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience post-fellowship. Clean background with no prior actions (minimum malpractice acceptable).Ability to perform both spinal and cranial surgeries. License and Certification Requirements: Active Michigan medical license at the time of submission (no exceptions).ACLS certification (mandatory).NPDB self-query copy (to be pulled within a month, required).Experience life in beautiful Petoskey, Michigan, a city renowned for its stunning lakeside views, vibrant arts scene, and friendly community atmosphere.
