Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description: SummaryWe are looking for a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer with electric utility experience. This position will support our clients with system studies, development of construction drawings, and project engineering support for medium and high voltage applications.

Primary Responsibilities: Lead the Engineering and Design process from scoping through construction. Develop and review electrical designs, including single lines, arrangements, grounding, and protection & control. Coordinate design activities across disciplines and ensure deliverables meet project scope, schedule, and budget. Support procurement, construction, and commissioning. Serve as the technical point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams. Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular project updates to stakeholders. Review manufacturer specifications and advise clients on project scoping. Perform protection coordination studies for transmission lines, substation transformers, and generators. Ensure compliance with applicable standards. Develop training for new engineers. Job RequirementsBS in Electrical Engineering 5 years of work experience Professional Engineering License in California Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Strong Knowledge of Substation Standards (IEEE) Software RequirementsExperience in Electric Substation Design using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Bentley Substation is a plus Strong knowledge of MS products: Excel and Word Work LocationHybrid - 50% of this job can be done remotely but the other 50% will require commuting to the office in Pleasanton or a client facility in Northern California
