We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects across the water and wastewater sector. This role will contribute to projects from initial feasibility and concept development through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and close-out. You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to develop practical, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that meet technical, environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements. Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, schedules, and cost estimates; supporting hydraulic modelling and the assessment of water and wastewater networks, treatment systems, pumping stations, storage facilities, and associated infrastructure; coordinating multidisciplinary design activities; and assisting with procurement, tender evaluations, construction support, site inspections, and technical issue resolution. You will monitor project scope, programme, budget, risk, quality, and safety requirements, while maintaining clear documentation and effective communication with project stakeholders. The role may also involve mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement, technical standards, and business development activities. Applicants should hold a degree in Civil, Environmental, Water, or a related engineering discipline, together with relevant professional experience in water or wastewater projects. Experience with the design and delivery of pipelines, treatment processes, pumping systems, hydraulic structures, or network infrastructure is highly desirable. Familiarity with industry standards, health and safety requirements, environmental legislation, contract administration, and common engineering software will be advantageous. Professional registration, or active progress toward registration, is preferred. We are looking for a technically capable and organised engineer with strong analytical, written, and interpersonal skills, who can manage competing priorities, work collaboratively, and take ownership of delivering high-quality outcomes. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project or construction sites may be required.
