Location:
Hybrid in San Diego, California. Our team works in the office Tuesday and Thursday, with remote work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Employees also enjoy flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
Note:
Candidates must have 3+ years of directly relevant electrical engineering or electrical design experience in MEP or building systems and hands on experience designing both electrical power and lighting systems.

Job Description:
Design electrical systems for residential and commercial building projects from conceptual design through construction Develop electrical power systems including switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, feeders, branch circuits, grounding, and panel schedules Design lighting systems including photometrics, fixture specifications, lighting controls, and Title 24 requirements Perform engineering calculations including voltage drop, fault current, coordination, and arc flash analysis Prepare basis of design documentation, specifications, drawings, and other construction documents Participate in client meetings and collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and project stakeholders Conduct job site walks to evaluate existing conditions and monitor construction progress Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and provide construction administration support Apply California electrical, building, energy, accessibility, utility, and life safety standards to project designs Provide technical direction and supervision to electrical designers Qualifications 3+ years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience within MEP consulting, building systems, or a closely related environment Demonstrated experience designing both electrical power and lighting systems for buildings Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience Working knowledge of California Electrical Code, California Building Code, California Energy Code, Title 24, and applicable utility standards Experience with AutoCAD and Revit Experience with Design Master, Energy Pro, or SKM Power Tools is preferred Strong ability to read and develop construction documents Strong communication, organization, and client facing skills Valid California driver’s license and ability to visit project sites as needed Why You Will Love Working Here Hybrid flexibility with three remote days each week 100% paid health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution Generous PTO and paid holidays Performance bonuses Continuing education, professional training, mentoring, and career development Flexible work hours and modern cloud based engineering toolsA collaborative environment where engineers have visibility, responsibility, and meaningful project ownershipJPC - 2385
