Job Description: The Emergency Services Department (ED) Technician is one who supports Emergency Services Department personnel in patient care and environmental maintenance activities within a non-licensed scope of practice. Under supervision, the ED Technician assists ED staff with care of patients. Contributes to maintaining a safe, clean, well-supplied department. The ED Technician may assist the Unit Secretary/Charge Nurse with phones, order entry, and other unit support activities.

Education: High School Diploma Required or Equivalent

Experience: 1 year Healthcare - Emergency Department Preferred

Healthcare - Paramedic Preferred orHealthcare - Nursing Assistant Preferred orHealthcare - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Preferred Certifications/Licensures: BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association RequiredEMT Emergency Medical Technicians - California Emergency Medical Services Required at time of hire orNursing Assistant - Certified (CNA) Required at time of hire orParamedic License - California Emergency Medical Services Required at time of hire

Pay Range: $40.04 - $52.20 HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area .
