Histotechnologist8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday. Assignment Details Holiday coverage required.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience. Certification as a histotechnologist from ASCP or equivalent certification.
Responsibilities:
Identify and process all tissue specimens received in anatomic pathology.
Ensure accurate patient identification throughout processing and handling procedures.
Assist pathologists with gross examination of tissue specimens.
Process, cut, stain, and deliver prepared slides for microscopic examination.
Prepare frozen sections and perform special histochemical staining as required.
Prepare slides for consultation with other laboratories.
File and maintain proper storage of tissue slides and blocks for retrieval.
