Sports and Recreation InstructionFitness and Recreational Sports CentersSports Teams and ClubsWe are seeking a qualified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to design, implement, and supervise athletic training programs for clients of various ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing instruction and demonstration of Olympic lifting, strength, speed, agility, and plyometric exercises within a periodized framework.
Assessing athlete performance through SCORE testing and interpreting results for pre/post evaluations.
Developing individualized training programs based on biomechanical assessments and collaborating with related departments.
Promoting sports performance services and assisting in program development.
Maintaining safety, cleanliness, and organization of the training facility and equipment.
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Two or more years of experience in strength and conditioning preferred.
Knowledge of NSCA, ACSM, and USAW guidelines, with the ability to program and instruct accordingly.
Certifications:
CPR/AED or BLS (within six weeks), CSCS (within one year), and preferred certifications in strength and conditioning or weightlifting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Key Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work individually, in small groups, and with teams.
Understanding of exercise physiology and assessment techniques.
Collaborative mindset to work with interdisciplinary teams.
