Supporting CMS rulemaking activities, the part-time Medicare Policy Analyst will conduct policy research and analysis, draft regulatory materials, and develop high-quality deliverables related to the Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities Prospective Payment System and Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, all in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Draft, edit, and review notices of proposed and final rulemaking for CMS programs Research legislative and regulatory history, and analyze Medicare program requirements to support policy development Identify and document policy changes required for program implementation and draft revisions to Medicare manuals
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare policy analysis or regulatory writing Experience supporting state or federal government agencies, preferably related to CMS or Medicare programs Working knowledge of Medicare payment systems and federal rulemaking processes Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to evaluate policy and regulatory requirements
