Building on its strong presence in the global fandom industry, Dear U is now expanding its footprint in the United States. As part of this U.S. expansion, Dear U is preparing to launch a flagship retail and fan experience destination in the heart of New York City. This new location will bring the Bubble experience to life through exclusive merchandise, immersive brand experiences, and special artist-related events, creating a unique space where fans can connect more closely with the artists they love. We are seeking talented professionals to join us during this exciting stage of growth and help establish Dear U’s presence in the U.S. market. Our team will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and meaningful fan engagement. (DEARU) Role Summary The Experiential Storytelling & Performance Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering performance-based customer experiences within Dear U's flagship store: Bubble House. This role transforms everyday retail interactions into memorable fan experiences through live performances, immersive storytelling, and interactive guest engagement. Working closely with Marketing and Store Operations, the Performance Specialist creates signature moments around merchandise, fan experiences, and seasonal campaigns while continuously evolving new experiential concepts that delight customers. Key Responsibilities Performance Design Help create and deliver live performances and guest interactions for merchandise stations, fan experiences, and seasonal campaigns. Develop performance concepts that transform product purchases into memorable fan experiences. Develop scripts, performance cues, and guest interaction guidelines for retail associates. Experiential Retail Programming Create and perform immersive guest-facing experiences for themed merchandise displays, interactive demonstrations, and experiential retail zones. Develop and deliver seasonal performances and interactive experiences supporting artist campaigns, product launches, special events, and fan engagement initiatives. Collaborate with Marketing and Store Operations to incorporate artist concepts and brand storytelling into live retail experiences. Continuously develop new performance ideas that encourage repeat visits and customer engagement. Live Event Support Support grand openings, artist events, promotional activations, and other special events through live performances. Adapt performances based on customer flow, audience participation, and event needs. Observe guest reactions and continuously refine performance concepts to enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications and skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Theatre, Acting, Musical Theatre, Performing Arts, Hospitality, Entertainment, or a related field. Experience performing in front of live audiences or creating interactive guest experiences is a plus. Experience developing performance concepts, scripts, or immersive storytelling. Strong improvisation, creativity, and guest engagement skills. Confident stage presence and excellent verbal communication skills. Experience in theme parks, immersive entertainment, museums, experiential retail, escape rooms, or children's entertainment is highly desirable. Passion for K-pop, K-culture is a plus
