Job Summary
Shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am; schedule includes rotating weekends, holidays and on-call. The Shift Charge Nurse has authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide clinical and administrative leadership on her/his shift. This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
Qualifications: Education Other Certificate/Diploma Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred Licenses and Credentials Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] - required Basic Life Support - required
Experience: Three (3) years current experience in relevant clinical specialty required
  • Current experience must be within two years of hire into the Shift Charge position required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills and clinical competence in area of responsibility required.
