Work Model:
Hybrid (3 days/week). Candidates must live within commuting distance of an eligible office.
Job Summary:
- Serve as technical lead for overhead transmission line design, with hands-on ownership of engineering execution on large or multiple concurrent projects
- Own design reviews and QA/QC for transmission line deliverables
- Lead structural design work (about 90% of the role), including foundations, framing and materials for steel, wood, laminate and composite structures. Lattice tower experience is a plus.
- Act as the PLS-CADD subject matter expert and train other engineers on the software
- Support client relationships and respond to client needs and drivers
- Support business development, proposals and pursuit activities
- Mentor and develop engineering staff
- Requires 8-12+ years of overhead transmission line design at 69kV and above. 500kV+ experience is strongly preferred. PLS-CADD expertise is requiredBS in Civil or Structural Engineering (other engineering degrees considered). PE license is preferred (any state).
