Aircraft Interiors Mechanic Interior Mechanic The Interior Mechanic is responsible for the removal, installation, modification, and repair of aircraft interior components, including aircraft open and close-up, seat rows, sidewalls, stow bins, monuments, galleys, and lavatories. This position supports aircraft maintenance, modification, and refurbishment projects while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and modification tasks. Complete aircraft open and close-up activities to support maintenance and modification programs. Remove, repair, install, and adjust seats, sidewalls, overhead stow bins, monuments, and other interior furnishings. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and maintenance documentation. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Accurately document work performed in accordance with company and customer requirements. Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
Qualifications: Previous aircraft interiors experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and maintenance manuals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment. Basic hand tool proficiency and understanding of aircraft maintenance practices. Must be eligible to work in compliance with all company and customer requirements.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and maintain various physical positions for extended periods, including kneeling, crouching, sitting, reaching, bending, and lying down.
  • Ability to work at heights and operate manlifts, airstairs, ladders, and other approved lifting devices.
  • Ability to perform work on aircraft structures, including crown modifications and other elevated work areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a hangar environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Work Schedule
  • Two shifts are available:
  • First Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMSecond Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PMOvertime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
