Virtual Service Operations is searching for an experienced Palo Alto NGFW Network Engineer and Team Lead to join our dynamic IT team in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid role requires candidates to work 2-3 days per week on-site. Work with the customer's security & network teams to build confidence across the business units impacted by the change to Palo Alto Networks. Minimum of 5 years' experience with network/security solutions and technologies (BGP, SD-WAN concepts, VXLAN, and general routing and switching). Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks products.

Network Protection: Implement and manage network security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEM tools, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and data loss prevention to safeguard client networks. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience configuring and maintaining Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, Ruckus, Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki hardware, with at least 3 years leading network architecture and implementationincluding LAN, WAN, WLAN, and physical installationand practical experience integrating cybersecurity measures, ideally within an MSSP or MSP environment. Thorough understanding of networking technologies, including administration of enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and load-balancers (OSI layers 4-7). Expertise with Palo Alto Network Firewall and Cisco ASA, F5 Load Balancers and AWS ELB.. Fluency with common network admin and monitoring tools such as Rancid, OpenNMS, Nagios, Solarwinds, Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, Netflow, Sflow etc.. Advanced knowledge of Cisco, F5, Palo alto firewall, Websense/focepoint, juniper and other vendor equipment and configuration. Design complex in-building and outdoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) solutions using design tools iBwave (for in-building) and ATOLL (for outdoor).. Create and verify in-building and Macro site relations meeting layer management criteria and conduct neighbor evaluation for UMTS and LTE/5G technology.. Perform post-launch optimization of newly launched sites using Ericsson OSS for UMTS and LTE/5G technology.. Involve in designing and provisioning LTE/5G new site builds, including 2C/3C carrier additions; data analysis and troubleshooting various RF parameters such as RSSI, VSWR, and Cell diversity imbalance on LTE/5G cell sectors.. Provide coverage prediction plots for UMTS RSCP, EcNo plots, LTE RSRP, and RSRQ plots based on survey and benchmark reports using the iBwave design tool.

3 years of experience with wireless technologies like LTE/5G, Bluetooth, WiFi or Satellite communications, or demonstration of your ability to teach yourself this technical domain with exceptional speed..
