As a Network Security Engineer IV, you will perform all aspects of network security including the design, implementation, configuration, and control enforcement of security controls on hardware and software components of network devices. Perform vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.. Deploy, configure, and manage firewall and Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) solutions for proactive threat detection and prevention.. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of Network Security with large scale enterprise experience securing network based traffic, production operations experience with emphasis on resilience, reliability, standard procedures and under the hood software automation and deployment best practices.. At least 5 years of experience with Network Security products (Firewall, Proxy, WAF, NAC VPN). 2 + years of experience scripting and automation (Python, Ruby, BASH, Powershell). Strong Cisco networking skills (IP addressing, switching, routing, IOS) and leadership in end-to-end network lifecycle for C4I systems. Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) environment including help desk, customer communication, trouble ticketing, and issue resolution. Experience with network security architecture similar to the NETTN including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center, Cisco Firepower NGFW firewalls, AAA, 802.1x, VPN deployments, STIG implementation and verification, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI). Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
