Designing and integrating comprehensive network, VoIP, VTC, and data center solutions, adhering to security guidelines and customer specifications to ensure robust and secure communication infrastructures.. Diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to customer sites, telecommunications circuits, routing, switching, VoIP, VTC, network encryption devices, and Cisco data center/security to maintain network stability and performance.. 8+ years of extensive experience in networking, including VoIP, VTC, data circuits, network encryption devices (e.g., General Dynamics TACLANE), and virtualization technologies.. Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, with a deep understanding of MPLS and DMVPN Hub and Spoke technology for efficient network routing.
Conduct routine and emergency maintenance and repair actions on: Wideband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) equipment, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) endpoints, Ultra-high Frequency/Super-high Frequency/Very-high Frequency/High Frequency (UHF/SHF/VHF/HF) radio platforms, desktop and laptop computer terminals, fiber optic media converters and repeaters, and data equipment to include server hardware, keyboard video and mouse (KVM) terminals, routers, switches, and fiber distribution panels. Provide administration, operations support, technical support, and customer support on deployed Land Mobile Radio (LMR), SATCOM, 5G cellular routers, and Windows terminals in a field environment. Highly knowledgeable on mobile communications systems to include the Iridium satellite constellation, 4G LTE/5G mobile routers, secure mobile cellular devices, and VHF/SHF/UHF radio platforms. Understanding of IP networking fundamentals, VOIP systems architecture, encrypted video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Familiar with systems integration procedures to include hardware framing and mounting methods, basic soldering, power tool operation, minor modification of plastic and metal bench stock parts, and cable installation and removal techniques.
Cloud Networking & SD-WAN Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Aviatrix for cloud networking.. Experience deploying SD-WAN solutions like Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.. Security Solution Implementation Proficiency with security solutions from vendors like Palo Alto Networks and Cisco..
