Managing comprehensive accounting operations for a diverse real estate portfolio, the full-time Senior Property Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting, prepare financial statements, and analyze budget variances while working remotely from locations such as Chicago, Austin, or New York.
Key responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned commercial properties, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance Prepare timely financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and client-specific requirements Analyze budget variances and provide insights to property managers and clients to support decision-making
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in commercial real estate or property management accounting Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Advanced proficiency in property management accounting software and Microsoft Excel Experience with CAM reconciliations and tenant billing from an accounting perspective
