Medical-Surgical Travel Registered Nurse

Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Med Surg Travel Nurse for a night-shift assignment in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, monitoring, and patient education. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex cases, ensure safe transitions of care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation. Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to adult inpatients on night shift Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs and response to treatment Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders Deliver wound care, post-operative care, and pain management Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff on care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Participate in handoff reports and ensure continuity of care between shifts Adapt quickly to new hospital environments and unit workflows as a traveler Medical-Surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Wound care Care planning and documentation (EMR) Telemetry monitoring Discharge planning and patient education Infection control practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Time management and prioritization Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (MO or compact) BLS certification ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year recent Med Surg experience Travel nursing experience preferred
