Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Provide direct nursing care on a general medical unit, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation. Educate patients and families, promote safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate care with the interprofessional team. This part-time role includes two 12-hour night shifts per week and rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial and emotional needs. Develop, implement and document individualized plans of care with patients, families and the interprofessional team. Educate patients and families about illness or injury management, home care and medications. Promote patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment. Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development and communicate care plans across the continuum.
