Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Mercy seeks a dedicated RN or LPN to join our Med/Surg team at Mercy Hospital St. Louis on day or night shifts. In this role, you’ll deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to a diverse adult patient population, including assessments, IV therapies, medication administration, wound care, and discharge planning. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, support patients and families through education, and document care using our EHR. Provide comprehensive med/surg nursing care to adult patients on assigned unit Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs, labs, and clinical status Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately per provider orders Deliver wound care, basic procedures, and post-operative monitoring Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans and patient goals Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards and protocols Participate in unit-based initiatives, continuing education, and performance improvement Medical-surgical nursing IV therapy and medication administration Patient assessment and triage Care planning and documentation Wound care Electronic Health Records (EHR) Telemetry monitoring Patient and family education Infection control practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN or LPN license in MO BLS certification ACLS preferred Med/Surg nursing experience preferred Electronic Health Record proficiency
