Medical Assistant Opportunity Valley Health Systems, Inc., the parent organization of Holyoke Medical Center and Holyoke Medical Group, is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across Western Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Physician Practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the patient experience and ensure smooth operations within the office. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties, facilitating patient flow, and supporting the team in delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Escorting patients to clinical areas and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
  • Taking and accurately documenting vital signs
  • Obtaining medical histories and documenting them in patient records
  • Administering vaccines
  • Assisting with patient flow to maintain efficiency and timeliness of appointments
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical record-keeping
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant program
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a medical or clinic setting preferred
  • Certification or Registration within six months of hire (RMA/AMT, CMA/AAMA, or CCMA/NHA)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
