Chimes | Computer Network Architect| Remote Position We're looking for a Computer Network Architect to design, evaluate, and improve secure network solutions to meet customer capacity, performance, and availability supporting Chimes.
Location: This role is remote within the USA. You must be legally authorized to work in the US. Chimes does not provide visa sponsorship. What you'll do:
  • Design and evaluate conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures that meet customer requirements for performance, capacity, security, reliability, interoperability, and cost.
  • Identify hardware, software, interface, bandwidth, and routing requirements; prototype and validate network configurations.
  • Monitor network performance and utilization, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and scale resources to meet changing demand.
  • Develop and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, security audits, and automated probes, and create disaster recovery and continuity plans.
  • Coordinate network maintenance, upgrades, installations, and integration testing; create and maintain designs, technical documentation, and procedures.
  • What you bring
  • Work remotely as assigned by Chimes leadership and applicable contract requirements
  • Obtain and maintain customer-required access, suitability, training, or credentials, if applicable
  • Support planned maintenance, releases, testing, or continuity activities outside normal business hours when assigned and permitted by the position schedule
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant role-appropriate technical certifications preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Degrees and certifications in computer science, data science, or related fields are preferred, but equivalent education and experience are welcome.
Compensation: This is a remote position open to candidates in the United States. Base salary is determined by the candidate’s work location, along with skills, experience, and internal equity. The ranges below reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for each geographic tier: Tier 1 (Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Northern Virginia): $44.42 - $56.94 per hourTier 2 (New Castle, DE, Los Angeles, CA, and Dallas, TX): $35.59 - $49.24 per hourTier 3 (Orlando, FL): $31.82 - $36.59 per hour If you’re unsure which tier applies to your location, your recruiter can confirm during the hiring process.
